CO 0-8-0 #227 - Chesapeake & Ohio         
The loco appears to be in a storage/scrap line at this point in its life. Built by Alco-Schenectady in August of 1930 originally as Hocking Valley 0-8-0 #227it was later absorbed into the C&O roster and renumbered CO 0-8-0 #227. No final disposition is known currently - presumedly scrapped sometime between 1954-57. Specs - serial #68454, class C-16. 52" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 25x28" cylinders, wngine wt of 240,000 lb and tractive effort of 57,200 lb. No date was given for the photo so an approximate was used. This is an R.D. Patton photo.
