CO 0-8-0 #218 - Chesapeake & Ohio         
Like so many of its sister 0-8-0's, Chesapeake & Ohio 0-8-0 #218 was photographed sitting in the scrap line at Alexandria, VA. This may be the last photo of the loco before meeting up with the scrapper's torch sometime in late 1950's. It was built by Alco-Schenectady on 1930. Specs - serial #68445, class C-16. 52" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 25x28" cylinders, wngine wt of 240,000 lb and tractive effort of 57,200 lb. This is an R.D. Patton photo
