| Built by Alco-Schenectady in 1930, the beefy yard switcher was a valid member of the C&O roster. Unfortunately, no final disposition is currentl knowny - presumedly scrapped sometime in the late 1950's as were many of the C&O's 0-8-0 roster. Specs - serial #68435 ,class C-16. 52" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 25x28" cylinders, wngine wt of 240,000 lb and tractive effort of 57,200 lb. This is an Arthur B. Johnson photo |
