Description:
Found sitting in a storage line at Huntington, WV, is Cheseapke & Ohio 2-8-4 #2759. Called a "Kanawha" wheel configuration by the C&O, this loco was built by Lima in 1947 but was scrapped by 1961. Specs - serial #9266, K-4 class, 69" drivers, impressive 245 psi boiler pressure, 26x34" cylinders, engine weight of 460,000 lb and tractive effort of 69,368 lb. No photographer was listed for the photo.
