Description:
By 1978 only a handful of SP U25Bs were still running most lay rotting away in SP's Los Angeles bone yard. Running on browwed time I was lucky to catch this one on a main line frieght up Cajon Pass the following month I spotted it sitting in SP's LA dead line.

An SP B30-7/SSW GP30 combination on this southbound manifest. SP 7812"was later rebuilt to CCRCL UPY 153. At right you can see my '75 242 with the left rear mashed in after my girlfriend backed it into some dude's pickup outside of a bar in Fredericktown, MO. Date of photo approximate.
