It's just arrived in Washington's Union Station with a passenger train from New York City. This is the locomotive that pulled our train from Wilmington to Washington. |

Somewhat an oddball locomotive in the NYC RR Museum is this massive Pennsylvania/PennCentral/Amtrak GG1 #4882. The loco is a significant piece of railroading history but doesn't fit the NYC legacy nor the Hoosier history so slightly out of place. Don't get me wrong - this is one of my all-time favorite locos so glad to have an example in Indiana! |
