At the tag end of a 4 unit lashup is Seaboard Coast Line GP40 #1530. EMD built this GP40 originally as Seaboard Air Line #615 but it merged into the Seaboard Coast Line as SCL #1530 and then on to CSX as #6686. An unidentified rail fan took this photo at the RFP Acca Yard in Richmond, VA and the photo is now in my rr collection. |

Wearing the SCL/LN French gray with red & yellow ribbons paint scheme is Seaboard Coast Line GP40 #1539. This loco is a real boomer loco as it has bounced through several rosters. Built by EMD in 7/1966, nee-Seaboard Air Line GP40 #624 > SCL #1539 > CSX #6695 > Texas-Mexican GP40-3 #1164 > FURX GP40M-3 #1164 > LSRC GP40M-3 #1164 > ABDF GP40M-3 #826.
