Description:
Beautiful original photo of the 1918 Alco-Schenectady built Mikado. No date was given but since the tender displays the loco number, it has to be after 1941 when C&EI changed the markings. Specs - class N-2, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine wt of 292,000 lb, tractive effort of 54,779 lb. With the exception of 1930 (boiler explosion), all retirbd August 1949 to August 1950. No location or photographer was listed for this photo unfortunately.
