South Caroline Central SD18 #7309 (soon to be INRD #7309) stands next to NKP 2-8-2 #587 at the Indianapolis yard. Interesting note on NKP 2-8-2 587 - it was retired and donated to Broad Ripple, IN where it was placed on display in the Park there. My brother was in high school across from the park and saw it being moved there. When it was moved out of the Park for restoration, my brother made it a point to watch it being moved out so he caught both coming and going of the loco. |
