| Description: |
Union Pacifc 1654 and 3867 idle on an engine track at the west end of Tucson Yard. 1654 was built in 1980 for UP as the 3761, back in the days when they still painted the number of the unit on the side of the long hood. In the early 2010s, 3761 was rebuilt into an SD40N, with improved electrical systems, and other reconditioned compnents. 3761 was renumbered to 1654 at the end of its rebuild. |

Road and local power idle at the Tucson engine facility. The engine terminal is located at the west end of the yard, and serves power from trains from Nogales and Phoenix. The two foreground tracks serve as switching leads for the yard, while the track 1654 is parked on is a ready-track. 1654 and SD70M 3867 behind it serve as yard power for Tucson. |
