Date approximate. Built by Pittsburgh in December 1890 (c/n 1205) as Saint Louis Alton & Terre Haute number 26, it became Illinois Central 879 in 1896, renumbered to IC 1879 in May 1904, renumbered again in May 1917 to IC 2879, retired in July 1929.
