The Virginia and Maryland Railroad Company (reporting mark VAMD) was a Class III short-line railroad that ran trains on the 96-mile (154 km) Pocomoke Secondary rail line. The line lasted from March, 1977 to 1981. A note on the slide states the car is an ex-Boston & Maine business car. The wooden open platform car does not show up on any VAMD roster or website so far so I can't confirm the info as being accurate. Thanks to Wil Hata (see comment below(, the history is more extensive than first listed. According to Wil Hata "It was built as Boston & Maine Baggage-Coach 737 by the B&M in 1899. It was also used on the associated Maryland & Delaware during the 1970s/1980s as MDDE 2. It later went to the Arkansas & Missouri as A&M 102.
