MILW 2-8-2 #375 - Milwaukee Road
Description:
Sadly sitting in the scrap line is Milwaukee Road 2-8-2 heavyweight Mikado #375. Originally built by Alco-Schenectady in March of 1919 as CM&StP #8672, it was later renumbered in 1938 to MILW #375 as seen here. The loco was officially retired in July of 1953. No photographer was listed for the photo. Specs - L3 Class, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 27x32" cylinders, engine weight of 320,000 lb, tractive effort of 62,949 lb.
