This is a group of b&w photos of St Louis-San Francisco 4-6-4 Hudson steam locomotives. The quality ranges from very good to poor but are of historical importance. After the RRPA hard drive crash, the photos were re-posted and the information updated on 7/27/2025.

SLSF 4-6-4 #1062 - St Louis-San Francisco (Frisco)
Description:
cosmetic update featured a wide valence above the running gear on both sides that had "The Frisco Lines" enclosed in a long red diamond. Its tender was also emblazoned with similar livery, except that the red diamond embraced the engine's number. Later it would be removed as the loco aged. In 1917 Baldwin built the loco as SLSF 4-6-2 #1062 but rebuilt by the West Springfield Shops in 1937. The loco was scrapped in January of 1952. Built by Baldwin in June of 1917 as SLSF 4-6-2 #1069, it was rebuilt by West Springfield Shops in in 1937. A cosmetic wide valance was added to update and "streamline" the loco and tender.
